Job summary

22 Degrees - Building Services Engineering in Auckland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with around 5 years' experience in building services to join our respected consulting team. You will design and deliver mechanical building services solutions across commercial, education, healthcare, and community projects.

Working with experienced multidisciplinary engineers, you will contribute from concept through to construction, while developing project leadership and client-facing skills and expanding

Qualifications

• Around 5 years' experience in mechanical building services consulting
• Pathway to chartership
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical services design
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand building standards and regulations

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver mechanical building services solutions across commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and community projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop concepts through to construction with hands-on design and project leadership.
• Grow knowledge of other disciplines and expand your own design skills.
• Develop client-facing skills and contribute to project leadership and mentoring of junior staff.

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with around 5 years' experience in building services and ready to take the next step in your career to develop advanced technical, project leadership and client facing skills?

We're looking for a motivated, technically capable Mechanical Engineer to join our respected consulting team. The focus will be on growing advanced technical expertise and developing your project, commercial and people leadership capability. You will work on a diverse range of projects, collaborate with talented multidisciplinary teams, have meaningful impact on your projects and participate in our leadership and advanced technical training programmes.

About the Role

You will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services solutions across commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and community projects. Working alongside experienced cross discipline engineers you will contribute to projects from concept through to construction, with hands on design and project leading part of the mix. You will grow your knowledge of other disciplines and expand your own design skills.

What You'll Bring

✔ Around 5 years' experience in mechanical building services consulting and on pathway to chartership

✔ Expertise in hydraulics, fire or seismic design an advantage

✔ Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical services design

✔ Experience using industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD and modelling tools

✔ Sound understanding of New Zealand building standards and regulations

✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

✔ A proactive attitude and desire to continue developing your technical and professional skills
