Are you ready to step into a senior role within building services engineering? We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical / Hydraulics Engineer to join our growing team of industry professionals.

This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong HVAC and hydraulic design expertise to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality, practical solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage the design of HVAC and hydraulics services projects for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects
• Perform detailed load calculations, system sizing, and energy analysis
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
• Oversee and support installation, commissioning, and project delivery
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure project objectives are met
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers where required
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex engineering issues

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in HVAC and hydraulics design within a consulting or contracting environment
• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or actively pursuing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant HVAC & hydraulic standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
