Job summary

Garin College in Nelson, NZ seeks an innovative and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher to join our collaborative faculty. The role covers junior and senior maths up to Level 3 NCEA, with calculus and statistics for Year 13 being an advantage.

You will be a NZ-registered teacher, familiar with the NZ Curriculum and NCEA, and ready to contribute to our BYOD learning environment and school community. This is a full-time permanent position; please state preference.

Qualifications

• NZ registered teacher.
• Experience teaching Mathematics to Years 9–13 and Level 3 NCEA.
• Ability to teach calculus and/or statistics to Year 13 (NCEA L3) is advantageous.
• Willingness to teach other subjects to support the department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction across junior and senior levels.

About the role

Kāreti o Garin is an Integrated Catholic Special Character Co-education Year 9 to 13 College with over 650 learners. We are recognised for providing education with excellence and outstanding performance in sport, arts and culture. Garin College embeds exciting and innovative practices that promote outstanding student leadership and engagement in an integrated BYOD learning environment.

We seek an innovative and enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics to join our experienced and collaborative Mathematics faculty. The ability to teach junior and senior maths up to Level 3 NCEA is essential. The ability to teach calculus and/or statistics to year 13, NCEA L3 will be an advantage.Please state your strengths in teaching other supporting subjects.
