Job summary

Waimea College in Nelson, New Zealand, seeks a Certificated teacher to join the Maths department from 27 January 2027. The role focuses on teaching Mathematics and Statistics, with the ability to cover statistics and/or calculus to NCEA Level 3 advantageous.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach Mathematics and Statistics to senior students (NCEA Level 3 focus).
• Experience teaching Statistics and/or Calculus to NCEA Level 3 is an advantage.
• Ability to contribute to leadership roles within the College.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and Statistics to Years 7–15 / wharekura as part of the maths department.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress within NZQA guidelines.
• Engage in potential leadership opportunities in the Pastoral (Deans) Team or as Principal’s Nominee and Assessment Lead.

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join our maths department at Waimea College from 27 January 2027. The ability to teach statistics and/or calculus to NCEA Level 3 is an advantage. Please provide details of senior subject specialisation, and any other teaching subjects.
