Job summary

Waihi College is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled mathematics teacher to join our collaborative and supportive team.

The successful applicant will:

  • be confident teaching mathematics across Years 7 to 13
  • have proven experience in NCEA teaching, assessment delivery and moderation
  • demonstrate sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and current curriculum developments
  • use explicit, evidence-informed teaching practices to build students’ mathematical knowledge, confidence and success
  • create structured, engaging and inclusive learning experiences that meet diverse learner needs
  • apply relational and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour and learning support
  • build positive partnerships with students, colleagues and whānau
