Job summary

WSP Global Inc. Rotorua Laboratory is seeking a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician to support engineering materials testing in both the laboratory and field environments.

This hands-on role involves planning and carrying out tests, collecting data, and delivering accurate reports that meet quality requirements. You will take ownership of assigned projects, coordinate priorities, contribute to safety planning and equipment maintenance, and build strong, client-focused relationships with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in civil engineering laboratory or similar environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and accuracy.
• Good data handling and testing records.
• Clear communication and client-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engineering materials testing across laboratory and field environments.
• Prepare accurate reports that meet laboratory quality requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, coordinating priorities and following through to completion.
• Contribute to safe work planning, quality systems, equipment maintenance and day-to-day laboratory administration.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
