Job summary

WSP is seeking a Concrete Technologist in Petone, Lower Hutt to evaluate concrete durability, performance and materials. You will conduct laboratory testing, site investigations and applied research to deliver practical solutions for diverse projects.

Join our Asset Performance Group; travel to project sites as needed and contribute to our specialist services with rigorous QA and safe working practices. NZ driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualification and practical experience in materials research and testing.
• A current New Zealand driver's licence and ability to undertake laboratory and site-based work.
• A sound understanding of technical standards, quality assurance and safe working practices.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and follow work through.
• A collaborative, client-focused approach and clear communication, reasoning and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver concrete durability, performance and materials investigations.
• Carry out laboratory testing, site investigations, sampling and applied research.
• Prepare project scopes, briefs, cost estimates and clear technical reports.
• Partner with clients and project teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
• Bring fresh ideas to project delivery and help grow our specialist services.
• Travel to project sites when required.
