Job summary

Massage Indulgence in Palmerston North is recruiting three Massage Therapists for a full-time, permanent role with a minimum 30 hours per week and a rotating Monday-to-Sunday roster.

Join a friendly, professional team and provide Chinese tui-na, deep tissue, acupressure, sport and relaxation massages, plus reflexology. Applicants need at least 2 years of relevant experience and a NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in massage therapy.
• NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide Chinese tui-na, deep tissue massage, acupressure massage, sport massage, relaxation massage, and reflexology to clients.
• Assess customers’ conditions and recommend suitable massage services.
• Perform therapeutic massage on muscles, tendons and ligaments to aid healing.
• Apply body treatments to promote relaxation and relieve muscle tension.
• Advise customers on exercises to support physical fitness and recovery.
• Maintain high standards of service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform any additional duties as required by the employer.

Massage Indulgence offers a wide range of massage and cupping services tailored to meet the unique needs of our valued clients. Our treatments include relaxation, deep tissue, pregnancy, remedial, and sports massage.

We are now looking for 3 Massage Therapists to join our friendly, professional team at Palmerston North Branch.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Chinese tui-na, deep tissue massage, acupressure massage, sport massage, relaxation massage, reflexology feet massage to our customers
• Assess customer’s physical conditions and personal circumstances, and propose the most appropriate massage services
• Perform therapeutic massage on muscles, tendons and ligaments to assist healing
• Administer body treatments to promote relaxation and relieve muscle tension
• Apply massage techniques in helping customers to recover from cervical and lumbar spondylosis
• Provide massage services with the help of essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies to increase therapeutic effects and enjoyments
• Advise customers on exercises and moves that may help with their physical fitness
• Adhere to a high standard of service and safeguard customer satisfaction
• Any other duties the employer reasonably may require the employee to perform

To be successful you will need to:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in related industry/filed OR
• Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
• Excellent customer service skills and attitude
