Job summary

NZ Venue Co. is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Auckland-based team and support a portfolio of hospitality venues.

You will drive venue marketing, customer engagement and revenue growth across digital, content, campaigns and events. Lead quarterly strategies, manage marketing budgets, briefing design teams, and report on activity to drive ROI while collaborating with venue managers, operations and the wider marketing function.

Qualifications

  • Teritary qualification in Marketing, Business or related discipline.
  • At least three years' experience developing and delivering marketing strategies.
  • Marketing management or leadership experience.
  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail or related customer-focused industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
  • Experience with customer and market research.
  • Strong digital marketing and content management skills.
  • Experience using Meta Business Manager, Google Suite and CMS/CRM platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, innovative and commercially focused mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Confident to influence venue and operational stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, resilient and results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Execute quarterly marketing strategies across an assigned portfolio of venues.
  • Manage venue marketing budgets and ensure spend delivers ROI.
  • Provide monthly budget updates and marketing activity reports to venue and operations teams.
  • Brief digital and design teams on campaigns, events and content requirements.
  • Manage campaign rollouts, timelines, documentation and venue communication.
  • Develop channel strategies to reach target audiences and drive venue growth.
  • Oversee website, social media and digital content.
  • Manage content updates, including menu changes and promotions.
  • Identify trends and generate ideas to drive revenue.
  • Review and edit digital campaign copy (e.g., Google Ads).
  • Monitor digital customer journey and opportunities to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Support brownfield, greenfield and acquisition projects.
  • Maintain media schedules and support PR when required.
  • Share campaign insights and best practices across the team.

Drive venue marketing, customer engagement and revenue growth

NZ Venue Co. is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Auckland-based marketing team and support a portfolio of hospitality venues.

This role is responsible for executing venue marketing strategies, managing marketing budgets and delivering effective campaigns that increase customer engagement, strengthen brand visibility and drive revenue growth.

Working closely with venue managers, operations teams and the wider marketing function, you will oversee campaigns across digital, content, promotions, events, PR and customer experience channels.

About the role

You will be responsible for:

  • Executing quarterly marketing strategies across an assigned portfolio of venues.
  • Managing venue marketing budgets and ensuring spend delivers strong return on investment.
  • Providing monthly budget updates and marketing activity reports to venue and operations teams.
  • Briefing digital and design teams on promotional campaigns, events and content requirements.
  • Managing campaign rollouts, deadlines, documentation and communication with venues.
  • Developing channel strategies to reach target audiences and support venue growth.
  • Overseeing website, social media, photography and digital content.
  • Managing content updates, including menu changes and promotional activity.
  • Identifying trends and generating innovative ideas to drive revenue.
  • Reviewing and editing digital campaign copy, including Google Ads.
  • Monitoring the digital customer journey and identifying opportunities to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Supporting brownfield, greenfield and acquisition projects.
  • Maintaining media schedules and supporting PR activity when required.
  • Sharing campaign insights, success stories and best practice across the marketing team.
About you

You are a commercially minded marketer with strong digital capability, excellent communication skills and a genuine understanding of hospitality. You will be comfortable managing multiple venues, stakeholders and deadlines while working autonomously and collaboratively.

You will ideally have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • At least three years' experience developing and delivering marketing strategies.
  • Previous marketing management or leadership experience.
  • Experience working in hospitality, tourism, retail, entertainment or a similar customer-focused industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing marketing budgets.
  • Experience with customer and market research.
  • Strong digital marketing and content management skills.
  • Experience using Meta Business Manager, Google Suite and web CMS or CRM platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
