We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team and play a key role in designing, building and maintaining the mechanical processes that keep our production environment running efficiently.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys turning ideas into practical solutions, collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams, and solving real-world challenges. You’ll see your designs and solutions move from concept to the factory floor, with a direct impact on how our products are manufactured.
As our Mechanical Engineer, you’ll design and build production fixtures and equipment, support mechanical manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement across the factory.
Designing and building high-quality production fixtures, tooling and equipment.
Working with R&D teams to support design for manufacture and new product development.
Supporting and mentoring the NPI team through new product introduction.
Providing technical support to the factory, troubleshooting mechanical issues and minimising production disruption.
Managing fixture modifications, ensuring changes are safe, correctly documented and processed.
Working with external suppliers to source parts, services and solutions.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, equipment and manufacturing efficiency.
Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and 6S housekeeping.
Keeping engineering and process documentation accurate and well organised.
Contributing practical ideas and solutions to ongoing engineering and manufacturing improvements.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong engineering knowledge with practical problem‑solving skills and a collaborative approach.
A Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (NZCE, NZDE, BE or equivalent).
3+ years’ relevant experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
Strong 3D CAD skills and technical troubleshooting ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and problem solving.
Workshop or manufacturing experience is desirable.
A commitment to quality and high standards of workmanship.
The ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, manufacturing, NPI and engineering teams.
A proactive mindset and motivation to identify and implement improvements.
