Job summary

ABB Napier manufactures critical power solutions and relies on strong engineering to keep production lean and reliable. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will modify and maintain mechanical components using Solidworks, develop new designs, and manage manufacturing data to ensure producibility and quality.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with R&D, Agile, Quality and Production teams to drive continuous improvement in the Critical Power sector at our Napier

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Solidworks and 2D drafting (AutoCAD) proficiency.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, design, or product development.
• Knowledge of DFA/DFM, SAP ERP, and attention to detail.
• Innovation, ownership, and cross‑functional collaboration are valued.
• Desirable: PLM (Windchill) experience and power electronics exposure.

Responsibilities

• Modify and maintain mechanical components and assemblies using Solidworks or equivalent.
• Implement new design changes while collaborating with R&D, Agile, Quality, and Production teams.
• Create and manage manufacturing data including 3D models, schematics, BOMs, and assembly procedures.
• Develop engineering changes and support new product development in Critical Power.
