Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Accountant to join our Finance team in Hamilton, NZ. You will drive financial accuracy, lead cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management, while supporting ERP projects and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams across supply chain, finance, and manufacturing to enable informed operations decisions and better cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA, or CIMA qualification.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong ERP and data analysis skills – SAP and PowerBI experience a bonus.
• An understanding of manufacturing processes and costing models.
• A continuous improvement mindset and ability to lead change.
• Clear, confident communication skills – both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial accuracy for manufacturing operations and provide insights to optimize cost structures.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across manufacturing and supply chain.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Support ERP projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a proactive Manufacturing Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting our global COO Operations. This is a key role, driving financial accuracy and providing critical insights to improve our manufacturing processes, cost structures, and operational decisions.

You’ll work across financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management while collaborating with teams across supply chain, finance, and manufacturing operations.

You’ll also play a key role in ERP projects and continuous improvement initiatives, helping us ensure compliance, efficiency, and excellence in all we do.

The Fit

You’re a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong foundation in manufacturing accounting and a passion for turning numbers into strategy. You’re confident working independently, juggling multiple priorities, and building strong relationships across teams.

We’re Looking For Someone With
