Job summary

Riviera Hardware Holdings Ltd in Auckland seeks a strategic leader to head Trade Sales growth across the Mandarin-speaking construction market. You will shape market strategy, lead Trade Account Managers, collaborate with operations, inventory and supplier teams, and drive sustainable, profitable growth.

Fluency in Mandarin is essential; Cantonese a plus. The role reports to General Manager Trade Sales, within the Riviera Hardware Holdings Group, offering exposure to a large, Kiwi-owned network

Qualifications

• Mandarin fluency in spoken and written form is essential.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Cantonese language ability would be an advantage.
• Deep understanding of NZ construction and property development market, especially Auckland.
• Proven track record growing sales and profitability with data-driven decisions.
• Experience leading, coaching and holding salespeople accountable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a clear market and sales strategy to grow presence and market share.
• Identify new business opportunities and build trusted relationships across construction and property development sectors.
• Lead and coach Trade Account Managers; set sales and margin targets; ensure delivery.
• Develop account plans to grow sales beyond core products and increase customer value.
• Monitor pipelines, activity, market movement and competitor activity.
• Coordinate with Trade Operations, branches and suppliers to align stock and service with growth.
• Maintain controls over margin, pricing and customer credit with clear reporting.
