Job summary

Deloitte New Zealand, based in Dunedin, is seeking an Audit Manager to join our Audit & Assurance team. You will lead day-to-day on audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements to deliver high-quality client service.

Applicants should have 2+ years as an Audit Manager in a Big 4 environment, strong IFRS expertise, and proven ability to build client relationships while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience as an Audit Manager in a Big 4 environment.
  • Strong technical audit and statutory reporting expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to build effective client relationships.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff and leading audit teams.
  • Strong presentation skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

Your typical day will include:

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience as an Audit Manager
  • Experience working in a Big 4 audit environment
  • Strong technical audit and statutory reporting expertise
  • Deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Proven ability to build effective client relationships
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff and leading audit teams
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand audit, risk advisory issues, and stakeholder needs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to positively influence clients, teams, and individuals
