Job summary

SkyCity Hamilton is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our Building Services team. This role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance across the SkyCity Hamilton site, ensuring health and safety standards and regulatory compliance are met.

You will work with a range of tools and equipment, perform diagnostics on machinery, and liaise with stakeholders to keep operations smooth and safe. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits within our entertainment complex.

Qualifications

Maintenance Technician, SkyCity Hamilton (Full Time)

SkyCity Hamilton is Waikato's premier entertainment destination, with our casino at our heart, live entertainment, restaurants, a function centre and Ten Pin Bowling, there's never a dull moment and no two days are the same!

Our Building Services team is dedicated to carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work throughout the SkyCity Hamilton site. We require an experienced maintenance technician to join our team, providing professional and high quality planned and reactive maintenance and service to SkyCity Hamilton. In this role you will ensure SkyCity Hamilton meets all regulatory compliance standards and all plant and equipment is maintained to a high standard.

• Previous exposure to routine building repairs and maintenance, including minor building works and decorating, tiling and using small hand tools and power tools
• Previous experience with machinery, equipment and plant repairs and maintenance including diagnostic analysis and the ability to recommend and undertake appropriate remedial action
• A good working knowledge of health and safety requirements
• A good level of computer literacy including Outlook
• As this role requires access to the Main Gaming Floor, you will need to be aged 20 years or above, you will also need to have a clear criminal history in order to meet the mandatory licencing requirements for the role

This role does not involve fixed working hours. While standard hours are typically worked, there may be occasions where operational requirements require an earlier start, a later finish, or adjustments to working patterns. This may include weekend or public holiday work on rare occasions. There may also be times when unforeseen issues arise that require the team to remain on site until the matter has been resolved.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be well presented at all times as you will be coming into contact with our customers throughout the property. As such, you will be a confident communicator with the ability to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders in a friendly, professional manner.
