Job summary

Sanford Limited in Bluff is seeking a hands-on maintenance team member to keep our salmon processing plant, port, vessels and Stewart Island farm operations running safely and reliably. You’ll repair machinery, troubleshoot faults and carry out preventative maintenance across a range of equipment.

We welcome people at all stages of a maintenance career; a trade qualification is an advantage but training is available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork.

• Maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment.

Are you practical, enjoy fixing things and like solving problems? Join our Maintenance Team in Bluff and work across our salmon processing plant, port, vessels and Stewart Island farm.

We’re open to people at all stages of their maintenance career. You could be a qualified tradesperson, starting out in a trade, or someone with strong hands-on mechanical, engineering, farming, marine or automotive experience.

About the role

You’ll help keep our plant and equipment safe, reliable and running smoothly. Your work will include:

• Maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment
• Troubleshooting faults and responding to breakdowns
• Working with pumps, conveyors, vacuum systems and processing equipment
• Completing preventative maintenance
• Supporting the production team to keep things moving
• Recording maintenance work and identifying improvements
