Job summary

Sanford in Bluff, New Zealand, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Team member to keep our plant and equipment safe, reliable and running smoothly. You’ll work across our salmon processing plant, port, vessels and Stewart Island farm, with opportunities to learn and develop further.

We welcome people at all stages of a maintenance career, including qualified tradespersons or those with strong practical mechanical, engineering or farming experience.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance, mechanical or engineering environments.
  • Practical, problem-solving approach.
  • Strong safety focus.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Trade qualification is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshooting faults and responding to breakdowns
  • Working with pumps, conveyors, vacuum systems and processing equipment
  • Completing preventative maintenance
  • Supporting the production team to keep things moving
  • Recording maintenance work and identifying improvements
