Job summary

Fiordland Lodge on a rural property near Te Anau, in New Zealand’s South Island, seeks a practical Summer Maintenance Person for the season. You’ll help keep the lodge running smoothly and maintain its 5-star presentation.

Roles include repairs across the property, outdoor work such as garden maintenance and painting, and independent task execution. Prior hands‑on maintenance preferred; electrical experience is helpful but not essential. Full NZ working rights required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and property maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair across facilities.
• Comfort with hand and power tools.
• NZ work rights required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance across all areas of the property.
• Assist in maintaining 5-star presentation standards.
• Assist with outdoor maintenance including garden work and painting.
• Undertake ongoing maintenance projects with attention to detail.

The location offers the right applicant the perfect base to explore the beauty of the area and to venture into the famous Milford and Doubtful sounds. The lodge is also ideally located within minutes of fourof New Zealand's 'Great Walks' being the Milford, Kepler, Routeburn and Humpridgetracks.

The opportunity - Summer Maintenance Person

Help keep a world-class lodge running smoothly this summer. We’re after a practical, can-do Maintenance Person.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

Carrying out various repairs and maintenance across all areas of our property

Assisting in ensuring the 5-star presentation standards of the property

Assisting with outdoor maintenance including some garden maintenance and painting

Undertake ongoing maintenance projects with an eye for detail

As the successful candidate you will:

Diagnose and solve problems across buildings & grounds

Be confident with hand and power tools

Electrical experience helpful (not essential)

Reliable, safety-minded, and happy working independently

Full working rights for New Zealand
