Job summary

Euro Corporation in Christchurch is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to plan, organise and perform repair and maintenance tasks for our Complete Reinforcing plant and equipment to a safe and efficient standard.

This role covers breakdowns, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, with focus on improving reliability and uptime across the site.

Qualifications

• Repair and servicing of plant and equipment.
• Implement and manage accurate service schedules/logs for plant and equipment.
• Initiate and undertake a preventative maintenance and servicing program.
• Manage service and preventative maintenance programs.
• Organise pre-planned maintenance shutdowns.

Complete Reinforcing, part of the NZ owned Euro Corporation Group, is involved in some of New Zealand's biggest infrastructure projects and is a market leader in the manufacturing, supply, fabrication, and installation of structural steel reinforcing.

We are currently hiring a Maintenance Fitter for our Christchurch Factory. Your job will be to plan, organize and perform repair and maintenance tasks for our Complete Reinforcing’s plant and equipment to a safe and efficient standard. This includes breakdowns, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance.

• Job : Permanent Full Time
• Location : Christchurch
• Working Hours Between : Monday to Friday / 6am to 5pm
• Hours : 40 Hours Weekly

About the Role

• Repair and Servicing of Plant and Equipment
• Implement and manage accurate service schedules/logs for plant and equipment
• Initiate and undertake a preventative maintenance and servicing program
• Manage service and preventative maintenance programs
• Undertake pre-planned maintenance shutdowns
• Assist in conjunction with procurement team, the ordering of parts for machinery
• Organize the manufacture of parts by local service providers as required
• Procurement
• Manage workshop inventory of stock and consumables
• Health and Safety
• Work closely with the requirements of our other business divisions

About You

• 5 years’ relevant industry experience preferred
• Mechanical Trade Certificate & NZS 4711 Welding certificate preferred
• Be an effective communicator and a true problem solver with great negotiation skills
• Take accountability and ownership of the role
• Good understanding of Health and Safety Work practices and regulations.
• Be a good decision maker, be agile and professionally competent
• Customer Focus with an eye for continuous improvement
