Job summary

Tegel Foods Ltd in New Plymouth, New Zealand, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our night shift team in Bell Block. The role focuses on maintaining and fault-finding our factory machinery to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work 3pm–3am on a 4 on/4 off roster, collaborate with the engineering team, and bring hands-on welding, fabrication and machining skills, plus experience in preventative maintenance and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Welding, fabrication and machining skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the plant.
• Flexible approach to work hours/days (including weekends).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in fault finding and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, fault-find and repair plant machinery to minimise downtime.
• Work night shift 3pm–3am on a 4on/4off cycle.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and production staff.
• Report to the New Plymouth Engineering Manager.

We currently have an opportunity available to join our team as Maintenance Engineers based in Bell Block reporting into our New Plymouth Engineering Manager.

This is a night shift position, with the work hours being 3pm - 3am, 4on-4off. Great hours for work life balance!
