Tip Top Bakeries is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Engineer for night shifts at our Otahuhu site. The role provides round-the-clock support, focusing on mechanical engineering services, production collaboration, and downtime minimisation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mechanical engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, with a trade qualification and ability to work rotating nights. Eligible for full-time employment with strong health and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate minimum of 7 years+ mechanical engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years+ engineering maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Trade qualification in Mechanical/Maintenance engineering.
• Must be able to work rotating night shifts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear communication and attention to detail.
• Continuous improvement mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement preventative maintenance opportunities.
• Achieve maintenance and reliability targets.
• Troubleshoot faults and solve problems quickly.
• Improve operations to drive productivity and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with production team and onsite leaders.
• Perform machining, milling and overhaul work.
• Maintain building and site repair standards.
• Assist commissioning of new machinery.
• Promote high H&S standards on shift.
• Partner with maintenance electricians on shift.

We areseeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer-Night Shift for our WiriBakery. You will be part of a busy team,providing round-the-clock support to ensure our products are delivered on time.This varied role is responsible for providing high-quality mechanicalengineering services, as well as supporting production and site activities tooptimise productivity and minimise downtime.

This role is a6.30pm to 6.30am rotating roster: 5 days on / 5 days off, 5 days on / 5 days off, 4 days on / 4 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to identify and implement preventative maintenance opportunities
• Achieve maintenance and reliability targets
• Use your strong problem-solving skills to find faults and solve problems
• Implement improvements to drive operational performance
• Partner with our production team and onsite leaders
• Provide general machining, milling and overhaul machine repair work
• Provide a standard of building repair & maintenance services
• Be involved in commissioning new machinery
• Share our values and champion high standards of H&S practices
• Be able to partner and collaborate with our maintenance electricians on shift

Key Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrate minimum of 7 years+ mechanical engineering experience
• In addition to the above, have a minimum of 5 years+ engineeringmaintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• You will be trade qualified in Mechanical/Maintenance engineering
• You must be able to work rotating night shifts
• You love to offer solutions and think outside the box
• You will have strong written and verbal communication skills
