Job summary

Goodman Fielder is seeking a Production Team Leader for our Quality Bakers site in East Tamaki, Auckland. You will guide a dedicated baking production team, supporting the Production Manager to meet KPIs, DIFOT, waste targets, line utilisation and overall productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food manufacturing at a Team Lead or Supervisory level.
• Machine operation and/or engineering management practice.
• Exposure to Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems.
• A great attitude towards health and safety.
• Ability to drive performance.
• SAP and SHE systems experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop direct reports so they can make timely production decisions.
• Deliver high quality finished product by ensuring compliance to Food Safety Systems and address issues promptly.
• Oversee plant hygiene, ensuring cleaning occurs at the correct times and standards.
• Manage the shift production team via toolbox meetings and handover, directing daily activities and SHE/Quality escalation.

The Role:

We are currently looking for a Production Team Leaderto lead a dedicated team of Baking production staff at our Quality Bakers site in East Tamaki, Auckland. As Team Leader you will provide support to the Production Manager in ensuring the shift team are correctly allocated to deliver on performance in KPIs, DIFOT, Waste %, line utilization, and productivity.

Other responsibilities include:

• Mentor and develop direct reports so that they are able to make decisions in a timely manner as they relate to production
• Deliver high quality finished product by ensuring compliance to all Food Safety Systems and ensure that action is taken to elevate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Oversee the hygiene of the plant by ensuring cleaning occurs at correct times and to the correct standard
• Manage the shift production team via tool box meetings (shift Handover, Daily Direction Setting, TALK meetings) & elevate issues relating to SHE and Quality

Note: This role is Night Shift, Tuesday to Friday (finishing Saturday morning)
