Job summary

Goodman Fielder New Zealand is seeking Intermediate Bakers and Production Operators for our Quality Bakers Auckland site. You will contribute to a high-performing production team, prepare ingredients, bake and package bread and small-goods to high standards, and participate in mentoring colleagues.

Roles include day, night, and afternoon shifts with pay starting at 27.65 NZD per hour plus night shift allowance. We value safety, teamwork and a proactive approach to learning and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant baking using automated equipment is desirable.
• Manufacturing/machine operation experience.
• Strong numerical and literacy skills.
• Health and Safety certificates (preferred).
• Food Safety and Quality certificates (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Understand the ingredients used in the baking process to adjust batches for quality and consistency.
• Learn to master the whole production line and contribute to team performance.
• Work to produce bread and small-goods to required standards.
• Mentor others and support baking qualifications.
• Adhere to food safety procedures and company policies.
• Ensure machines run efficiently and without interruption.
• Meet deadlines in a busy environment.

### Job Description**Our Opportunity**We are currently looking for **Intermediate Bakers and Production Operators** to join us at our **Quality Bakers Auckland** site. We pride ourselves on the quality of our baked goods and you will become an integral member of the manufacturing team ensuring each and every batch is produced with the highest consistency. Reporting to the **Team Leader**, the purpose of this role is to make a strong contribution to a high performing Production team and team culture within Baking, while performing the duties of preparing ingredients, baking and packaging bread and small-goods products to the standards required**Shift patterns available:*****Day shift:*** ***Wednesday 11am - 6.15pm and*** ***Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6.00am - 6.15pm******Night shift: Monday to Friday, 6.00pm - 2.00am******Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 12.00pm - 8.30pm*****Pay rate starts at $27.65 per hour plus additonal night shift allowance****Key accountabilities of the role include:*** Understand the ingredients used in the baking process to be able to make adjustments to batches to provide quality and consistency* Learn to understand and master the whole production line making the difference between good and great* Work for an essential food services industry producing key products for your community* Participate in developing and mentoring others completing baking qualifications* Make an active contribution to the team environment through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to help build team performance* Adhering to food safety procedures and company policies* Ensuring machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner* Meeting deadlines in a busy work environment**About You****To be successful in this role you will need:*** Experience in plant baking using automated equipment is desireable* Manufacturing/machine operation experience* Strong Numerical and Literacy skills* Health and Safety certificates (preferred)* Food Safety and Quality certificates (preferred)* Strong knowledge of work health and safety with demonstrated experience in previous workplaces* Passion for bread and baking with a willingness to continually develop your learning* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment* A positive work attitude and professional manner**Who are we:**Goodman Fielder New Zealand is one of the largest branded food manufacturers and suppliers in New Zealand, serving customer needs with a portfolio of iconic, trusted food brands that New Zealanders have grown up with and enjoy every day.
