Northpower NZ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Network team in New Zealand. You will support substation maintenance programmes, analyse asset data, and lead root-cause investigations to improve reliability and safety across the network.
You’ll work with engineers, contractors, and asset specialists to develop standards, oversee maintenance activities, and ensure regulatory and Northpower requirements are met while sustaining performance and resilience of our substations.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll influencehow we maintain and manage substations across their lifecycle, helping toensure our network remains safe, resilient, and fit for the future.
You're an experienced electrical engineer who combinesstrong technical knowledge with a practical approach to asset management andmaintenance. You enjoy solving complex technical problems, workingcollaboratively with stakeholders, and finding ways to improve reliabilitywhile managing risk and cost.
