Heritage Lifecare’s Flaxmore Lifecare in Nelson is seeking a part-time Maintenance Coordinator (20 hours/week, Monday–Friday) to join a warm, caring aged care home. You’ll perform general maintenance, painting, plumbing, minor carpentry, and help keep the building safe, clean and welcoming for residents.
You’ll work hands-on and with the Care Home Manager to prioritise tasks, manage workload, and support immediate maintenance needs with a positive, can-do attitude.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator with a passion for working in a general maintenance environment to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We’re seeking someone with a positive, can‑do attitude who understands the importance of a clean and tidy environment, is great with people, and takes pride in their work. You’ll be both hands‑on, with practical building and maintenance skills, as well as the organisational abilities to manage workloads, prioritise tasks. As Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the care home, including preventative maintenance, building repairs, and maintaining the building’s exterior and grounds. You will also work closely with the Care Home Manager to ensure the highest level of safety for our residents.
