Tekapo Springs is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Assets Manager to lead maintenance planning, asset management, and capital planning across the business in Tekapo. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, energy efficiency, and safety, with responsibility for a wide range of systems including refrigeration, pool water treatment, HVAC, and snow-making equipment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in tourism/ Winter activities maintenance.
• Experience managing maintenance operations in a complex industrial/commercial environment.
• Strong asset lifecycle management knowledge.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience managing contractors.
• Strong budgeting & financial management skills.
• Experience using CMMS or maintenance software.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with leadership capability.
• Trade qualification or equivalent in mechanical fitting, refrigeration, electrical, or facilities engineering.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage all maintenance activities across Tekapo Springs.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Ensure plant, equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently and reliably with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance and emergency response activities.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and work order systems.
• Plant energy optimisation and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain the Asset Management Plan.
• Maintain an accurate asset register and equipment history.
• Monitor asset condition, performance and lifecycle costs.
• Develop long-term replacement and renewal programmes.
• Prepare annual CAPEX recommendations and business cases.
• Ensure maintenance records support asset investment decisions.
• Provide technical oversight across plant/equipment including refrigeration, pool systems, pumps, HVAC, ice rink, snow making, buildings, heavy machinery.
