Job summary
Contact Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer – Mechanical to support the safe, reliable operation of our hydro generation assets in New Zealand. This hands-on role shapes asset management, maintenance strategies, and project delivery, working with asset, operations, and project teams to keep plant performance at its best.
You will balance big picture thinking with practical problem-solving, coordinating Opex and Capex projects, investigating plant issues, and guiding long-term asset lifecycle
Qualifications
- Relevant engineering qualification and experience in heavy industrial or power generation environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and asset lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating projects and supporting investigations; professional registration adds value.
