Job summary

ETEL Ltd. is seeking an Assets Technician for our Auckland site to keep plant, equipment and facilities running safely and reliably. This hands‑on role focuses on preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and timely breakdown response to minimise downtime and support capital projects.

You’ll work with a safety‑first mindset, use your practical maintenance skills and collaborate with engineering and operations to improve asset performance and reliability in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, mechanical or technical role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Practical hands-on experience with tools, machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance across plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and resolve maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and prioritise work in line with production needs.
• Complete maintenance work orders and keep system records up to date.
• Support asset improvements and capital projects, including fabrication, installation and testing.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas in a safe and organised condition.
• Support maintenance planning, spare parts management and contractor coordination.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability, safety and efficiency.
• Follow all health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
