We're looking for a Maintenance & Planning Engineer to help shape the future of maintenance and asset management across the critical infrastructure that supports NZ Blood and Organ Service’s nationwide operations. This includes specialist laboratories, cleanrooms, controlled environments, HVAC systems, critical utilities and cryogenic infrastructure.
This is a genuine green field opportunity. You'll work closely with operational teams, technical specialists and suppliers to establish sustainable maintenance and asset management practices while helping introduce new maintenance technologies that improve asset visibility, planning, scheduling and performance.
Working in a highly regulated environment, you'll contribute to the reliability and availability of critical facilities and equipment that support services New Zealanders rely on every day – an essential service within the health sector.

You'll be joining at a time when maintenance systems, asset management approaches and supplier partnerships are continuing to evolve. Your expertise will help establish the foundations for a modern maintenance function, including the introduction of new maintenance planning and asset management technologies that support informed decision-making, improved asset visibility and long-term operational performance.
Success in this role will come through collaboration. You'll work alongside operational teams, technical specialists and service providers to develop practical solutions that support both immediate operational needs and future capability.
As the Maintenance & Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination and governance of maintenance activities across specialist facilities and equipment, including:
