This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of one of MPI's most technically complex facilities environments. As Building Facilities Manager, you'll be the day to day on-site contact responsible for ensuring building services and infrastructure operate safely, effectively, and in compliance with building and biosecurity compliance requirements. You'll support the transition to a new state-of-the-art science and laboratory facility while working closely with contractors, technical specialists, and a wide range of stakeholders.
You will:
You'll be an experienced facilities professional with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role, who thrives in complex and regulated environments. You're a strong relationship builder who can balance competing priorities, solve problems calmly, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Comfortable working with ambiguity, you'll apply sound judgement and practical thinking to keep facilities operating smoothly while maintaining high standards of compliance and safety.

You'll join MPI's Property & Assets team within Corporate Services. The team is responsible for ensuring MPI's facilities and infrastructure operation support functions across New Zealand. Working within a small and collaborative team onsite, you will partner closely with technical specialists, contractors, and site leaders to deliver safe, reliable, and fit-for-purpose facilities that support MPI's important work.
