Job summary

Stonyridge Vineyard Cromwell seeks an experienced machinery operator to support daily vineyard operations in Central Otago. The role requires proven tractor handling skills and a strong safety focus.

Candidates with wine production or viticulture experience and a NZ driver’s license are preferred. Applicants should have hands-on vineyard experience, including canopy work, mowing, spraying, trimming, harvest, and trellis tasks, plus good communication in English and a solid understanding of NZ

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and vineyard machinery for daily tasks.
• Assist canopy management, mowing, spraying, trimming and harvest.
• Assist trellis work and other vineyard operations as required.
• Maintain safe working practices and report hazards.
• Work in a hands-on environment within a Central Otago vineyard.

Stonyridge Vineyard is looking for an experienced tractor driver and machinery operator to assist in our daily vineyard operations at our Central Otago vineyard.

Applicants will need proven machinery and tractor handling skills, practical ability with a strong focus on safety.

The role will involve all facets of vineyard tasks, and require you to have good mechanical knowledge.

You will have previous experience as a machine operator in the wine production and viticulture industry.

You will have hands‑on experience in a working vineyard, including canopy management, mowing, spraying, trimming, harvest, trellis work and more.

A current drivers license and preferably a Grow-safe certification.

Good communication skills, both written and oral.

A good understanding of NZ occupational health and safety is a pre‑requisite.
