Job summary

Cottonsoft is hiring permanent full-time Machine Operators at our Wiri and Highbrook sites in Auckland, New Zealand. You will help convert raw materials into quality finished goods, operating and setting up equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role includes day and night shifts on a rotating roster, with a starting rate of about NZD 30.22 per hour. We offer onboarding, career development, onsite parking and staff perks to support your work and wellbeing.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting permanent full-time Machine Operators at our Wiri and Highbrook sites. As a Machine Operator you are a valued contributor who will help us reach our operational goals. You are in a hands-on role where your primary focus is being able to safely and efficiently assist in the running the production area; converting raw materials into quality finished goods that our customers trust and love.

• Ensure safe work practices are adhered to at all times
• Operate manufacturing equipment
• Set up and changeover manufacturing equipment
• Complete quality checks
• Cleaning of equipment and housekeeping

About You

• Strong focus and awareness of workplace health and safety
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment or have an engineering qualification
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to work a rotating shift roster, working both days and nights
• Literacy and numerical skills
• Motivated with a hunger to learn new skills
• Reliability
• Have the ability to work autonomously, whilst being a great teammate and working towards achieving team goals

Roster Structure

• 4 x day shifts: 6.45am to 7pm
• 4 x rostered days off
• 4 x night shifts: 6.45pm to 7am
• 4 x rostered days off
