Job summary

Loveblock Wines in Awatere Valley, Marlborough is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator to run tractors and maintain vineyard equipment. You'll work early mornings, help with mowing, spraying, compost spreading, and cover crop cultivation while keeping gear in top condition.

A safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential; a valid driver's license is required and GrowSafe is a bonus. Weekend availability at harvest is appreciated as the vineyard responds to the season.

Qualifications

• A driver's licence and a can-do streak.
• Growsafe certificate is a bonus, but can be arranged.
• Comfortable starting early and pitching in on weekends at harvest.
• An eye for detail as vineyards change daily.
• Team mentality with a safe work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor for mowing, spraying, spreading compost and cultivating cover crops.
• Maintain and service mowers, mulchers, sprayers and trimmers.
• Assist with irrigation, trellis work and general vineyard graft tasks.

We're after someone who can run a tractor like it's second nature — mowing, spraying, spreading compost, cultivating cover crops — and who's just as handy keeping the gear that does it, (mowers, mulchers, sprayers, trimmers) running clean and sharp. Add in some irrigation, trellis work, and general vineyard graft, and you've got the job.

What you'll need:
