Fulton Hogan Limited in Invercargill is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator/Labourer to join our Surfacing Team on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll operate tractors, rollers, and loaders, while also doing practical labouring tasks on sealing projects across Southland.

Training and support are provided if you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn. Experience in surfacing or sealing is a bonus but not essential; a solid work ethic and team approach will help you thrive in a busy

At Fulton Hogan, good work starts with good people. We’re looking for a Machine Operator/Labourer to join our Surfacing Team in Invercargill on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role, you’ll work across sealing projects throughout Southland, operating a range of plant including tractors, rollers, and loaders, while also jumping in on hands‑on labouring tasks as part of the crew. This is a practical role with variety, responsibility, and real impact on the communities we work in.

Experience in surfacing or sealing is a bonus, but it’s not essential. If you’ve got the right attitude, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn, we’ll back you with training and support.

• Operate a range of plant and equipment including tractors, rollers, and loaders.

• A Full Class 2 licence and/or WTR endorsements is preferred, but not essential.
• Experience in surfacing, sealing, or civil construction is preferred, but not essential.
• Mechanical aptitude and a methodical, hands‑on approach to work.
• Good communication skills, reliable timekeeping, and a customer‑focused attitude.
• A willingness to learn, pitch in, and be part of a team that gets stuck in.
