Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Machine Operator/Labourer to join our Surfacing Team in Invercargill on a permanent, full-time basis. You will operate a range of plant, including tractors, rollers, and loaders, while contributing to sealing and surfacing projects across Southland.

The role offers hands-on labouring tasks, teamwork, and on-the-job training. Experience in surfacing is a bonus but not essential, with a supportive environment that prioritizes safety and quality.

At Fulton Hogan, good work starts with good people. We’re looking for a Machine Operator/Labourer to join our Surfacing Team in Invercargill on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role, you’ll work across sealing projects throughout Southland, operating a range of plant including tractors, rollers, and loaders, while also jumping in on hands‑on labouring tasks as part of the crew. This is a practical role with variety, responsibility, and real impact on the communities we work in.

Experience in surfacing or sealing is a bonus, but it’s not essential. If you’ve got the right attitude, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn, we’ll back you with training and support.

• A willingness to learn, pitch in, and be part of a team that gets stuck in.
