Job summary

Vitaco is seeking reliable Machine Operators for its Powder Plant at East Tamaki. You will operate and monitor powder processing and packing equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently, while adhering to strict hygiene and GMP standards.

You will work in a structured, team-based environment with health insurance, on-site cafe, and opportunities for growth within a well-established NZ manufacturer. All shifts are rostered, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in powder, dairy, food, or pharma manufacturing is preferred
• Strong awareness of GMP, hygiene and safety requirements
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow set processes
• Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg regularly
• Reliable and flexible to work rostered shifts

Machine Operator – Powder Plant

East Tamaki | Day Shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm

At Vitaco, our Powder Plant plays a critical role in producing high‑quality nutrition products trusted across New Zealand and beyond. We’re currently seeking reliable Machine Operators to join our Powder Plant manufacturing team at our East Tamaki site.

Whether you’re experienced in powder or dairy manufacturing or looking to build a long‑term career in a highly regulated production environment, we’ll provide the training, structure, and support to help you succeed.

About The Role

As a Machine Operator in our Powder Plant, you’ll be responsible for operating and monitoring processing and packaging equipment to ensure powder products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to strict quality standards.

You’ll work within a highly structured, hygiene‑focused environment and be part of a supportive team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Operating and monitoring powder processing or packing machinery
• Completing quality checks and accurately recording production data
• Handling raw materials and finished powders in line with GMP and hygiene standards
• Always following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements
• Maintaining housekeeping standards to prevent contamination risks
• Working collaboratively with your team to meet daily production targets

About You

We’re looking for people with the right attitude and reliability — experience is valued, but not essential.

Ideally, You’ll Bring

• Experience in a powder, dairy, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Strong awareness of GMP, hygiene, and safety requirements
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow set processes
• Are physically fit and able to lift 25kg on a reasonably frequent basis
• Reliability and flexibility to work rostered shifts
