Job summary

Vitaco is seeking a reliable Machine Operator for our Powder Plant in East Tamaki on an afternoon shift (2:00pm–10:30pm). You will operate and monitor powder processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient production that meets strict quality standards.

We value reliability, attention to detail and teamwork. Training is provided, with opportunities to progress into senior operator or team leader roles within a well‑established NZ manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Experience in powder, dairy, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow set processes.
• Be physically fit and able to lift 25 kg regularly.
• Reliability and flexibility to work rostered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor powder processing or packing machinery.
• Perform quality checks and record production data accurately.
• Handle raw materials and finished powders following GMP and hygiene standards.
• Follow SOPs and safety requirements consistently.
• Maintain housekeeping to prevent contamination risks.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production targets.

Machine Operator – Powder Plant

East Tamaki | Afternoon Shift - 2:00pm to 10:30pm

We’re currently seeking reliable Machine Operators to join our Powder Plant manufacturing team at our East Tamaki site. Whether you’re experienced in powder or dairy manufacturing or looking to build a long‑term career in a highly regulated production environment, we’ll provide the training, structure, and support to help you succeed.

About the Role

As a Machine Operator in our Powder Plant, you’ll be responsible for operating and monitoring processing and packaging equipment to ensure powder products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to strict quality standards.

You’ll work within a highly structured, hygiene‑focused environment and be part of a supportive team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Operating and monitoring powder processing or packing machinery
• Completing quality checks and accurately recording production data
• Handling raw materials and finished powders in line with GMP and hygiene standards
• Always following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements
• Maintaining housekeeping standards to prevent contamination risks
• Working collaboratively with your team to meet daily production targets

About you

We’re looking for people with the right attitude and reliability — experience is valued, but not essential.

Ideally, You’ll Bring

• Experience in a powder, dairy, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Strong awareness of GMP, hygiene, and safety requirements
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow set processes
• Are physically fit and able to lift 25kg on a reasonably frequent basis
• Reliability and flexibility to work rostered shifts
• A positive, team‑focused mindset
