Job summary

Acon Industries in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, is hiring an experienced Machine Operator to run rollers, pavers and related equipment across civil asphalt and chipseal projects.

You will work with a skilled crew, ensure safety and quality, and be available for day or night shifts to help deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in civil, asphalt or chipseal work.
• A Class 2 licence.
• Good work ethic and reliable crew member.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Willing to work days or nights shifts.
• Asphalt or chipseal experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate rollers, pavers, bobcats, loaders, tractors and other surfacing machinery across the Bay of Plenty.
• Collaborate with the crew to deliver quality work for customers.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain equipment in good condition.

What's the job?

You'll be operating machinery on asphalt and chipseal jobs across the Bay of Plenty.

That could include:

• Rollers
• Pavers
• Bobcats
• Loaders
• Tractor brooms
• Profilers
• Other surfacing machinery

You’ll work alongside a good bunch of people who know their trade and help delivery quality work for our customers.

$30-$40 per hour depending on experience and what plant you can operate independently.

Time and a half for all hours physically worked over 40 each week.

Extra 15% loading on night shift hours worked.
