Job summary

Sofitel Wellington, a 129-room luxury sanctuary in Wellington, invites guest-focused individuals to join our housekeeping team as Room Attendant. You will clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to Sofitel luxury standards, assist with turn-down service, and ensure immaculate presentation throughout the hotel.

This part-time role offers flexibility to cover weekends and holidays, with English proficiency and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in English; additional languages beneficial

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, balconies, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to Sofitel luxury standards
• Carry out scheduled, regular, and deep-cleaning tasks including carpets, grout, shower heads, mini bars, air-conditioning, and cabinetry
• Assist with turn down service and bed making, extra beds, rollaway beds, cots, and accessible room equipment
• Maintain immaculate presentation, hygiene, and cleanliness across all areas of the hotel
• Respond to guest requests professionally with warmth and discretion
• Use, store, and handle cleaning chemicals safely per health and safety guidelines
• Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, keep trolleys and storerooms neat
• Assist with laundry duties, linen distribution, stock replenishment, and deliveries
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly
• Adhere to security and guest confidentiality procedures
