Job summary

Golden Goose in Auckland is seeking a capable Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the team and uphold brand standards in a busy retail environment. The role requires at least 3–4 years in luxury retail with supervisory experience, weekend availability, and strong merchandising, stock control, and customer service skills.

This permanent full-time position offers NZD 34–41 per hour. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Retail, Japan, SEA & Oceania, and will drive sales

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in gift shop or tourism retail.
• Experience in retail sales and customer service.
• Strong selling and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work with domestic and international customers.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including hiring, scheduling and rostering.
• Manage profitability, labour costs, inventory, and cash handling.
• Maintain stock levels, core range, and effective merchandising.
• Plan pricing strategies to stay competitive and profitable.
• Lead promotional campaigns and seasonal sales to drive traffic.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Train, supervise and develop the store team.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and high store standards.
• Prepare budgets and monitor KPIs to meet targets.
• Engage with customers, provide product information and recommendations.
