Golden Goose is seeking a passionate Store Manager to lead our New Zealand branch and Auckland store. Qualifications

  • At least three to four years of global luxury retail sales experience with brands that focus on the apparel we sell, with at least 2 years in supervisory/management roles.
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations including hiring, scheduling, training, performance management, supervising staff, and rostering.
  • Manage store profitability and control expenses including labour costs, inventory levels, and cash handling.
  • Maintain stock levels, core product range, and effective merchandising.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to stay competitive while preserving profitability.
  • Plan and execute promotions to drive sales and attract customers.
  • Monitor product mix to match customer demand and maximize sales.
  • Ensure compliance with Employment and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Negotiate supply and pricing agreements to optimize costs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly banking and turnover reports.
  • Prepare annual budgets and work toward store performance goals within budget.
  • Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to keep the store clean, stocked, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Conduct regular stock takes per company policy.
  • Continuously improve store performance and customer service standards.

We are looking for a passionate team member to lead our New Zealand branch and Auckland store. The candidate will join the store team located in Auckland . The position will report directly to the Head of Retail, Japan, SEA & Oceania.

MISSION

This Store Manager role plays a pivotal part in achieving commercial objectives and enhancing brand awareness and desirability in New Zealand. The role will be responsible for:

  • Management of the store target by constantly monitoring sales performances through the main KPIs analysis, establishing and implementing specific action plans in cooperation with the Area Manager
  • Support the Area Manager in creating market growth in the long term, managing partnership and commercial relationships within the whole local market
  • Ensure the right store merchandising assortment of products is on offer
  • Manage the overall store presentation, maintaining appropriate visual display and store standards, and ensuring that products are showcased accordingly with the brand's image and standards to boost sales
  • Attract, manage, develop, inspire, motivate and empower the team.

This is a permanent, full time role providing at least 38 hours of per week and will pay between $34-$41 per hour.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have at least three to four years of comparable global luxury retail sales experience with brands that focus on the apparel that we sell. Of the three years of work experience at least 2 years should be at a supervisory/management level.
  • Flexibility is a must, you must be able to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and engage thoughtfully.
  • A team player who values collaboration and can work towards common goals.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy store. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly banking and turnover reports.
  • Prepare annual budgets and work to achieve store performance goals within budget constraints.
  • Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-maintained.

Person Specification

  • Must have either Diploma Level 5 or two years of relevant work experience
  • Strong numerical data analysis skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Able to work during weekend and public holiday

Duration: Permanent fulltime – 35 hours per week

Hours: 30 guaranteed paid hours per week, excluding unpaid meal breaks.

Salary: NZD $ 35.00 – $ 38.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
