Job summary

Elgas Limited in New Plymouth, New Zealand, is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver LPG cylinders to homes and businesses. You will communicate with customers face-to-face and follow safety protocols.

We require a Class 2 licence with at least 2 years’ delivery driving experience and the ability to drive a manual transmission. The role involves heavy lifting, region knowledge, and use of handheld delivery equipment.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence with at least 2 years delivery driving experience.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts.
• Attention to health and safety when handling dangerous goods.
• Good knowledge of the region and ability to use handheld delivery equipment.
• Willingness to pass background checks (Criminal and ACC history, medical and Drug & Alcohol screening).

Responsibilities

• Deliver LPG gas cylinders to homes and businesses around the region.
• Interact with customers face-to-face during deliveries.
• Start at 6:30am Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays; ensure timely, safe deliveries.
• Receive training and support to perform the job and assist customers as needed.
• Wear provided uniform and PPE for all deliveries.

Delivery Driver

The role involves safely delivering LPG cylinders to customers. You'll need Class 2 driving experience and able to drive manual transmission.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• You will be delivering LPG gas cylinders to homes and businesses around the region, interacting with customers face-to-face
• Working Monday to Friday starting at 6.30am, finishing no later than 5pm, with occasional Saturday work
• We will provide all the training and support you need to do the job and to help our customers with any questions
• $30.90 per hour, paid weekly
• Uniform and PPE will be provided, along with any training and qualifications required

What Makes You Great

• You will have a Class 2 licence, with at least 2 years delivery driving experience and be able to drive a manual transmission
• There is lots of heavy lifting involved, so you'll need to be physically fit
• You'll be handling dangerous goods, so attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety is super important
• Good knowledge of the region and able to use handheld computer delivery equipment
