Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our client in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will coordinate goods flow, manage inventory, and ensure timely deliveries, working closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in logistics or warehousing, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. A High School diploma is required, and relocation to Queenstown may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; logistics or supply chain qualification is advantageous.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing or supply chain.
• Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Experience coordinating shipments with transport providers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the flow of goods within the warehouse and distribution network.
• Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock counts, and manage stock levels.
• Liaise with carriers and transport companies to arrange freight and monitor delivery status.
• Process shipping documentation such as bills of lading and customs forms where applicable.
• Address and resolve logistical issues or discrepancies in shipping/receiving.
• Communicate order status and delivery information with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures within the warehouse.
• Assist in preparing reports related to logistics operations and inventory levels.
