Job summary

The Salvation Army in Whangarei is seeking a part-time role up to 24 hours per week to support Bridge clients and their families. The successful applicant will bring lived experience of addiction and recovery to advocate for client voices and participate in planning alongside our team.

You will work within the lived experience consumer advisory framework, contribute to feedback, and help shape service delivery with respect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments.

Qualifications

• Having experienced alcohol and other drug treatment services yourself (desirable, but not essential).
• Two years of post-treatment recovery is preferred.
• Commitment to improving lives of Bridge clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating client and family feedback
• Providing insights, guidance, and advocacy
• Representing tangata whai ora and families
• Sitting on the National Consumer Advisor lived experience team
• Contributing to the consumer/lived experience participation plan
