Job summary

Lightingplus is seeking a committed, reliable Trainee Store Manager to join our central Auckland team. You will work alongside experienced Store Managers and the Regional Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maximize sales while delivering excellent customer service.

You will learn to lead a team on the shop floor, manage stock levels, maintain store presentation, and stay updated on product knowledge. This role involves approx. 40 hours weekly and includes one weekend day.

• Are an organized multi-tasker.
• Have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are well presented.
• Background in retail/sales will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store sales, promotions, and other activities to achieve sales targets.
• Manage stock on hand levels.
• Assist and maintain store presentation.
• Provide amazing customer shopping experiences.
• Keep up with latest product knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Dealing with escalated customer issues and incident reports.

We are looking for a committed, reliable and self‑motivated Trainee Store Manager to join the team. You will work closely with experienced Store Managers in the central Auckland area, along with the Regional Manager to ensure the store day to day operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

Working on the shop floor, you will learn to lead the team to maximise sales opportunities while providing an excellent standard of customer service at all times.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
