Job summary

Presbyterian Support Northern is seeking an experienced Lifeline Shift Supervisor for the Lifeline 24/7 helpline. The role is 32 hours per week on a rostered basis, including evenings and weekends, guiding frontline staff and volunteers to deliver safe, compassionate support.

You will lead on shift, ensure smooth operations, and support staff through complex situations while prioritising quality, wellbeing and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience in helpline, counselling, mental health or related services.
• Current registration with a professional body is essential.
• Ability to lead, guide, and motivate staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership on shift and support frontline staff and volunteers.
• Ensure safe, responsive and compassionate support for people reaching out.
• Balance operational needs with quality, wellbeing, and risk management.
