The opportunity has arisen to work as a Library & Council Services Assistant in Howick Library. This will require you to be flexible as you may need to work from other sites within the Howick local board area. Howick Library is a busy community library serving a diverse and vibrant community. Our library whānau is focused on caring for each other, our community, and our environment. We are looking for a flexible all-rounder to join and contribute as part of a high-achieving, cohesive, and dynamic team. You will be supporting the team and contributing to the day-to-day running of the library. As this is a customer service role, you will be helping customers from all walks of life.
Many of our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days, including weekends and late nights, is required. We are looking to fill a 16 hour per week part-time position. This role is intended to be flexible but current shifts are below:
You will have strong people skills, are flexible and adaptable to a library environment. You have a passion for customer service with a positive attitude towards serving people of all ages and backgrounds. You are eager to learn new skills and thrive in a busy work environment.

This role is band E, salary between $67 - $77k pro rata plus 3.5% kiwisaver depending on skills & experience
