Job summary

Carmel College in Auckland’s North Shore invites applications for an experienced registered teacher to join as a Learning Support Coordinator for Years 7 and 8. The role is 0.66 FTTE, with the remaining 0.34 FTTE dedicated to timetabled teaching and related responsibilities.

Qualifications

Registered teacher with a current full practising certificate.

Responsibilities

work alongside students and whānau to understand and access learning support as early as possible
assist students, whānau and staff through key transition processes, ensuring appropriate support as students move between year levels or schools
coordinate targeted interventions, individual learning plans and external agency referrals
support teachers to respond effectively to diverse learning needs
build strong, positive connections across our school community
promote an inclusive culture where student wellbeing, belonging, and learning are prioritised.
