Job summary

Palmerston North Intermediate in Manawatu/Whanganui is establishing a new Learning Support Coordinator role for 2027. This full‑time position focuses on inclusive education for Years 7–8 learners.

You will partner with our SENCO, teachers, whānau and outside agencies to identify barriers to learning, coordinate learning support plans, and ensure timely, practical interventions across PNINS. Qualifications

• Experience supporting diverse learners in mainstream settings.
• Strong collaboration with SENCO, teachers, whānau and external agencies.
• Ability to develop and monitor learning support plans.
• Excellent communication with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate learning support for Year 7–8 learners at PNINS.
• Work with SENCO to strengthen school-wide support systems.
• Identify barriers to learning and arrange timely interventions.
• Engage with whānau and external professionals to support plans.
