Job summary

Oaklands Te Kura o Ōwaka in Canterbury is seeking a passionate learning support coordinator to lead the coordination of learning support across our inclusive Years 1–8 school.

You will work with SENCO, teachers, whānau and external agencies to coordinate programmes and interventions, lead IEP processes, support funding applications, and monitor student progress to ensure every learner thrives.

Qualifications

• Registered NZ teacher with current practising certificate.
• Experience in learning support and inclusive education.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of Ministry of Education learning support processes.
• Commitment to culturally responsive practice and positive outcomes for all learners.

Oaklands Te Kura o Ōwaka is seeking a passionate and experienced learning support coordinator to lead the coordination of learning support across our inclusive Years 1–8 school.

Working collaboratively with SENCO, teachers, whānau, and external agencies, you will coordinate programmes and interventions that enable every learner to thrive. Key responsibilities include coordinating learning support, leading IEP processes, supporting funding applications, liaising with Ministry of Education services and specialists, monitoring student progress, and building staff capability in inclusive practice.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a registered New Zealand teacher with a current practising certificate.
• Has experience in learning support and inclusive education.
• Has excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
• Is knowledgeable about Ministry of Education learning support processes.
• Is committed to culturally responsive practice and positive outcomes for all learners.
